(Source: https://www.techmarketview.com/ ) Digital mental health platform provider SilverCloud Health, marked World Mental Health Day on Saturday with the release of a digital mental health therapy programme aimed at treating depression in teenagers starting their GCSE and A level studies. The new module, which is already being used in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) in Dorset, will soon be widely available to health trusts and schools across the UK, alongside a programme for anxiety in young people launched in June.
An estimated 1.3m children and young people in the UK experience mental health problems, and the development of the depression module reflects the significant increase in depression in youngsters as a result of uncertainty and disruption over schooling and from the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.
